EWRI – Extra War Risk Insurance
Since Feb, 2022 Joint War Committee has listed all the Russian waters as high-risk areas. After that moment standard war risk cover has not been in force in the Russian waters and Shipowners/Charterers have to pay for the Extra War Risk Insurance (EWRI). The majority of global insurance markets either refuse to cover war risks in the Russian waters or offer extremely high rates.

- Standard London market wording with full scope of cover (cl.281 and cl.345) without any local market’s exclusions (capture, seizure, arrest, restraint, detainment, confiscation and expropriation)

- Optionally short-period or long-term cover for vessels trading Russian ports regularly
